Temple Isaiah offers a wide variety of courses throughout the year. Our Early Morning Study Group meets on Tuesday morning from 6:30 to 7:30. On the first and third Tuesdays of the month we study Harfarot-the Prophetic passages in their original context and show how they relate to the Torah portion, and gain insight into how the great rabbis of the past viewed the Prophets. On the second and fourth Tuesdays, the attention is turned to Contemporary American Reform Responsa-considering Jewish responses to issues from medical ethics to death and burial to homosexuality and more through the work of Rabbi Walter Jacob, one of the Reform movement’s leading experts in Jewish law.

Ongoing courses include Torah Study and monthly Book Discussion Groups. Rabbi Karol, Cantor Trachtenberg, Harvey Witman teach throughout the year and guest lecturers enlighten us periodically.  Temple Isaiah is a proud sponsor of the Festival of Films and Faith. Held at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson, this film festival showcases three films and includes an interfaith panel discussion and reception after each film.  Temple Isaiah also partners with SAJES to offer additional courses throughout the year.
