Jewish Worship

Temple Isaiah offers a special place where you and your loved ones can grow and deepen your connection to Judaism, to our Torah, and to God.  All of our services have lay participation.  Our members are not just spectators in the practice of Judaism; they are participants.  Our High Holy Day services accommodate hundreds of people, with separate services for adults and children.

Our monthly Family Service is renowned for its warm, family atmosphere and the beautiful songs performed by our Junior Choir.  We have a delightful Tot Shabbat Service for preschool children twice each month.

A Warm, Friendly Atmosphere

For more than three decades, Temple Isaiah has not only provided a place of worship in an inclusive, supportive atmosphere, but also a caring community in which to pursue one's educational, social, and recreational goals,  We offer beautiful and inspiring spaces for worship, study, and for socializing with friends.

Single or married, male or female, with children or without, extremely observant or not very, you will find a community of people eager to welcome you into its midst and to assist you in fulfilling yourself as a person and as a Jew.

Ahavat Ger

Ahavat ger, welcoming the stranger, is among the most important tenets of Reform Judaism and here at Temple Isaiah, as well. At Temple Isaiah, we welcome Jews from all backgrounds and denominations including singles and families, Jews of all races, cultures, and sexual orientations, as well as Jews-by-Choice and interfaith families.

Activities

There are many social opportunities for visiting with old friends and making new ones.  Our Sisterhood and Brotherhood sponsor many fun and exciting events each year to raise funds for special-need programs that benefit the Temple and the community.  Our Renaissance Club meets regularly to socialize and to explore topics and activities of interest to our "Golden Agers."

Temple Isaiah's Youth Group is open to all interested teenagers from 5th to 12th grade.  Three separate age groupings meet several times each month for a wide variety of religious and social activities.

If you are interested in community service, you'll want to join our Social Action Committee.  We collect food and clothes for the needy (both in and beyond the Jewish community), volunteer once a month as helpers at a local soup kitchen, work on ecology projects, run blood drives, campaign to end spousal abuse, and much more.

For those who like to work one-on-one with fellow congregants, there is the Caring Community and the Bikkur Cholim Society.  Members offer to run errands, make phone calls, pay home and hospital visits, and arrange for minyan services.
